AK-Green Dot 225Ultra Hi-Density® EPS vs Polyurethane
AK-Green Dot 225 Ultra Hi-Density® EPS Insulation  Versus  Polyurethane Insulation

  • AK-Green Dot 225 Ultra Hi-Density® was in accordance long before January 1, 2005 EPA mandate to eliminate blowing agents that destroy the ozone layer. Polyurethane insulation had to comply with this mandate resulting in an unstable product.
  • AK-Green Dot 225 Ultra Hi-Density® with a constant R-Value for life, uses normal air as the blowing agent. Polyurethane insulation uses an unstable formula with new chemical blowing agents such as HFC-245fa or Pentane which dissipate over time and do not have any warranty.
